Tribou Consulting Inc. is a technology consulting company specializing in Robotics and Autonomy, based in Heidelberg, ON, Canada.

Our Team

With over 13 years of experience turning advanced theoretical ideas into successful practical robotics implementations, Mike brings a unique mix of intuition and pragmatism to a project. During his Ph.D. studies at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, ON, Mike became expert in structured Computer Vision algorithms like SLAM and Visual Odometry. His research focused on visual navigation using Multicamera Clusters — sets of individual cameras that move together through the world fixed rigidly to a mobile robotic platform. The work has lead to several publications in leading journals.

After finishing his academic studies, Mike moved on to industry, working in the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) space. He served as Systems Architect, responsible for designing and maintaining world-class flight and gimbal control systems. Mike has successfully lead multidisciplinary teams comprising Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Verification engineers to solve complex problems in overly-constrained solution spaces.

In 2020, he founded Tribou Consulting Inc. to help companies increase the autonomy and performance of their intelligent systems.
